Macaroni And Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 slices bacon, fried and chopped
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped green pepper
2 qt. canned tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. macaroni, cooked
Preparation

Cook onion, celery and green pepper in bacon grease.
Add bacon and cooked vegetables to tomato mixture.
Cook about 20 minutes. Drain macaroni and add to tomato mixture.
You will have a lot of tomato juice in your pan.
Don't be alarmed, just let the mixture sit on the stove for about an hour and during this time the macaroni will absorb all the juice.
(If you try to cook it down, it will stick badly.)
Put in a casserole dish and run in a 375\u00b0 oven for about 45 minutes.
Serves 12.
If you have leftover chopped ham, this is a nice addition to this dish.
