Old-Fashion Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. lard
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 tsp. ginger
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder, molasses, salt, soda and ginger. Mix well.
    Add vanilla.
    Make a roll out of dough with enough buttermilk to which the well beaten eggs have been added, to give you the consistency you can handle.
    Roll as for pastry to fit 9-inch cake pans or heavy iron skillet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
