Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    3 or 4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    salt to taste
    vanilla to taste
Preparation
    Heat milk, but do not boil.
    Beat eggs and sugar and stir into milk.
    Add salt and vanilla to taste.
    Cook like a custard until it thickens.
    Put mixture into freeze and thin with milk and cream.
    If a small freezer, use half the recipe.
