Cheddar Quiche - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
1 can (3 1/2 oz.) French fried onions
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
bacon, fried and broken
5 eggs
2 Tbsp. Mr. Mustard
1 3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Make your own crust or buy ready-made crust and prepare as directed.
Cut cheese in
6
to
8 slices (3 x 4 x 1/8-inch thick).
Cover bottom
of
pie
shell
with cheese overlapping slices.
Set aside\t1/2
cup
French
fried
onions;
sprinkle remainder over cheese.
Sprinkle
on
celery, green pepper and bacon.
In a
mixing bowl beat together eggs and mustard until blended;
add milk.
Pour
into pie shell;\tbake approximately 45 minutes or\tuntil
a
knife
inserted near center comes out clean. Remove pie
from
oven,
sprinkle with 3/4 cup cheese. Allow to stand 20 minutes before serving.
Meanwhile, heat 1/2 cup of the reserved
onions
in
oven\tuntil crisp and golden brown. Garnish top
with onions. Cut pie in generous wedges to serve.
