Holiday Fruit Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. soft butter or margarine
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 c. candied cherries, cut in halves
    2 c. cut up pitted dates
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift
    together\tflour,\tsalt
    and soda; set aside.
    Put butter in\tlarge bowl.
    Add buttermilk and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture; mix well.
    Stir in nuts and fruit.\tDrop by teaspoons on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a moderate (350\u00b0) oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
