Pickle Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 bunch green tomatoes
1/2 bunch green and red peppers
1 pkg. onions
1 c. salt
1/2 to 1 c. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. water
1 box mixed spices
Preparation

Wash and cut peppers, tomatoes and onions.
Grind up in a meat grinder.
Mix well after ground up.
Put in a pan or kettle with the salt.
Mix well.
Let stand overnight.
Next morning, pour into a colander.
Run water over it to wash off salt.
Put in a kettle (large) and put the spices in.
Mix water, sugar and vinegar.
Pour over the mixture and let cook for about 20 minutes. Have 12 pint jars washed and sterilized.
Put into jars and seal.
