Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
5 1/2 to 6 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Soften yeast in warm water.
Scald milk. Add sugar, salt and shortening.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add 2 cups flour and beat well. Add yeast and beaten egg. Blend thoroughly. Add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured board and knead until smooth and satiny.
Place in lightly greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in warm place (80\u00b0 to 85\u00b0) until doubled in bulk.
