Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. solid Crisco
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 oz. water
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 oz. red food coloring
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, food color, water (use food color bottle) and vanilla.
    Sift all dry ingredients except baking soda.
    Add sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat 10 minutes.
    Dissolve baking soda in vinegar and fold into batter.
    Do not stir.
