Butterscotch Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/4 c. butter
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and butter.
    Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil.
    Cook until it reaches thread stage (230\u00b0).
    Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes.
    Beat in evaporated milk, mixing thoroughly.
    Serve sauce over ice cream and etc.
    Yield:
    2 cups.
