Sweet And Sour Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    1 green pepper
    1 onion
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Chop finely cabbage, pepper and onion.
    Combine and bring to a boil sugar, cider vinegar, mustard seed, salt and turmeric.
    Pour the hot mixture over the cabbage, pepper and onion.
    Mix well and place in refrigerator.
    Flavor improves after a day or two.
