Mierbe Teig(Crust With Peaches) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 scant c. lard
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. water
    1 egg yolk
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 can sliced peaches, drained
    cinnamon and nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix first five ingredients together.
    Work as for pie crust. Handle as little as possible.
    Chill about 15 minutes in refrigerator.
    Roll 1/2 crust in an oblong shape.
    Fill with drained peaches, brown sugar and small amounts of cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover with remaining crust and press edges together.
    Bake at 500\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Cool.
    Make icing of remaining egg white (unbeaten), 3/4 cup sugar, butter and vanilla; beat thoroughly.
