Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 c. onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
1 c. celery, chopped
2 c. okra, sliced
6 c. water
1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 c. ham, chopped
2 lb. shrimp, peeled
1 lb. fresh crabmeat
hot cooked rice
Preparation

Combine oil and flour in a large Dutch oven.
Cook over low/medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes, until roux is the color of a copper penny.
