Tar Heel Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. fine corn meal
1 egg
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
pinch of soda
1 Tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Stir, adding water to thick consistency.
Drop in deep fat (preferably Duke's peanut oil).
Cook at temperature of 375\u00b0. Serves 6 persons.
