Stuffed Bell Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium bell peppers
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 egg
    1/2 c. rice
    6 soda crackers
    salt and pepper
    1 small can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Cut top off peppers and remove seeds.
    Mix meat, onion, egg, rice, crackers, salt and pepper.
    Stuff generously into each pepper.
    Place into heavy saucepan with tight fitting lid.
    Pour tomato sauce and 1 can of water over peppers.
    Bring to boil. Cover with lid and reduce heat to low; simmer for approximately 1 hour.
