Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef stew meat
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper
    1/4 c. butter
    1 medium onion
    1 garlic clove
    1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes
    parsley
    1 bay leaf
    1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
    1 c. dry red wine
    1 c. water
    2 celery stalks with leaves, cut in 1-inch pieces
    2 carrots cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Dredge meat in flour and brown in butter.
    Add garlic (minced) and onion (sliced).
    Add mushrooms.
    Cook until onions are tender.
