War Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 Tbsp. lard
1/2 box raisins
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder or soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Boil water, brown sugar, white sugar, lard and raisins for 5 minutes and let cool.
Add eggs, baking powder or soda, cinnamon, allspice, ginger and salt.
Bake about 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
