Pumpkin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
16 oz. canned pumpkin
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. shortening
2 eggs
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. raisins (optional)
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening; add pumpkin, eggs and vanilla. Beat well; sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices.
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins and nutmeats.
Drop dough from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool. Yield:
7 dozen.
