Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hot bulk sausage
    2 lb. ground chuck
    2 c. onion
    2 large cans tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3 cans kidney beans, drained (reserve liquid)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown meat and onions in a large pot.
    Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, liquid from kidney beans and seasonings.
    Simmer, uncovered, 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in beans and simmer 15 minutes or desired consistency.
