Italian Cream Cheese Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks oleo
1 c. buttermilk
7 oz. pkg. coconut
1 tsp. soda
5 eggs, separated
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Set aside.
Beat egg whites in a small mixing bowl and set aside.
In large bowl, mix 2 sticks oleo, sugar, egg yolks and buttermilk.
Alternately add flour mixture, then add vanilla, coconut and pecans.
Put in greased and floured 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool before icing.
