Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream sugar and eggs until light.
    Add shortening and beat until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla, buttermilk and baking soda. Beat again.
    Beating at low speed, add 1 cup of flour at a time. Beat at high speed until creamy and thick.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours in a tube pan.
