Tender Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. beef chuck roast
    onion and garlic powder to flavor
    4 carrots, cut into 1 1/2-inch strips
    2 large potatoes, cut in quarters
    2 onions, cut in eighths
    1 c. water or wine
Preparation
    Moisten meat.
    Put onion and garlic powder on.
    Pierce with fork.
    Place in a 3-quart microwave casserole.
    Cover; microwave on High for 5 minutes.
    Reduce to Medium for 25 minutes.
    Turn meat over; arrange vegetables around meat.
    Cover; microwave on Medium 25 to 35 more minutes, until meat and vegetables are done. Allow to stand 5 to 10 minutes while making gravy, if desired.
