Chinese Raisin Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. vegetable shortening, at room temperature
    1 c. brown sugar (light)
    2/3 c. white sugar
    2 eggs, beaten to blend
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour, sifted with baking soda
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. Chinese 5-spice powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 c. raisins, softened in water and drained
    1 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening with sugars; mix well.
    Add vanilla and beaten eggs.
    Mix.
    Add flour mixture, raisins and nuts.
    Bake until lightly brown 8 to 10 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven on greased baking sheets.
