Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    dash of salt
    3 c. peanuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Put all ingredients in thick saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat to 225\u00b0.
    Add 1 1/2 to 3 cups of peanuts.
    Cook to 295\u00b0.
    Cut heat. Add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon baking soda.
    Stir well. Pour in buttered pie pans.
    Cool.
    Break in pieces.
