Marinated Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    3 whole cloves
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (15 oz.) can asparagus
Preparation
    Combine first 7 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cool.
    Place asparagus in a long dish (Tupperware works best) with top.
    Remove spices.
    Pour over asparagus.
    Refrigerate at least 12 hours.
