Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. frozen vegetable shortening
4 medium tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
3 to 4 Tbsp. ice water
1 Tbsp. finely grated lemon zest
2/3 c. sugar
1 stick frozen unsalted butter, cut in tablespoon size pieces
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a food processor, combine the flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Process for a few seconds, then add 6 tablespoons butter.
Add shortening and process until the mixture resembles a coarse meal. Sprinkle 3 tablespoons ice water over the mixture and process about 20 seconds.
Pinch some of the dough between your fingers. If it is dry and does not hold together, add 1 tablespoon more of water and process briefly until dough begins to form a ball.
Do not overprocess.
