Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    3/4 c. white corn syrup
    3 egg whites
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Cook sugar, water and syrup until it spins a thread. Gradually add this to the beaten egg whites.
    Beat continuously. Beat until stiff enough to drop on buttered cookie sheet.
    A cup of chopped pecans can be added to the mixture before placing on the cookie sheet.
