Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 2 1/2 lb. or 6 to 7 c. apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 Tbsp. butter
pastry for 2 crust 9-inch pie
Preparation

Combine apples in mixing bowl with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice and allspice.
Place in 9-inch pie pan lined with pastry.
Dot apple filling with butter.
Put on top pastry; trim and crimp the edge.
Cut 3 vents on top of pie crust.
Bake in a 450\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake about 30 minutes more.
