Beef Steak Ranchero With Fresh Tomato Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, thinly sliced
    1 large garlic clove, thinly sliced
    1/2 c. chopped fresh coriander
    1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and sliced thinly
    1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
    2 large trimmed shell steaks (about 1-inch thick)
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a shallow glass dish, layer half the onion, garlic, coriander, jalapeno and tomato. Season the steaks on both sides with salt and place in the dish. Cover with the remaining onion, garlic, coriander, jalapeno and tomato.
    Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
