Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast (2 if in hurry)
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 1/4 pt. warm water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/3 c. lard
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 or 4 drops yellow food coloring
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm water.
    Combine ingredients.
    Put enough flour to make a stiff sponge.
    Then let rise until double in size.
    Then work in more flour until you think enough.
    Let it stand 15 minutes more. Cut and drop into deep pan of hot grease.
