Pear Honey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. pears
    1 (13 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    3 c. sugar
    juice and rind of 1 lemon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Pare, core and chop pears; cover with enough water to cook. Boil for 10 minutes.
    Add pineapple, sugar, juice and rind and ginger.
    Cook until thick and clear.
    Pour into hot, sterilized jars, seal with paraffin.
