Maple Baked Acorn Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (1 lb.) acorn squash
    4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    8 tsp. pure maple syrup
    1 tsp. salt
    freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    With a sharp knife, cut each squash in half lengthwise.
    Scoop out all the seeds and any stringy filaments.
    Bake until tender.
