Old-Fashioned Lemon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 egg, well beaten
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    grated rind of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.
    Serve warm.
    May be refrigerated and reheated.
    Yields 1 1/3 cups.
