Pennsylvania Dutch Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon
    1 small onion, diced
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1 (16 oz.) can green beans
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 hard-boiled egg (optional)
    1/2 c. liquid from green beans
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain bacon grease saving 1 tablespoon.
    Add onion and saute.
    Blend in cornstarch, salt and mustard.
    Stir in liquid from beans and cook until thickened. Blend in vinegar and beans.
    Heat again and top with crumbled bacon and slices of hard-boiled egg if desired.
