Cream Of Ramp Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 bunches ramps, trimmed and chopped
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    4 c. chicken stock
    1/2 c. dry white wine
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. cream
Preparation
    Melt butter in a deep pan.
    Add ramps; saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
    Stir in flour, salt, pepper and garlic, stirring 1 to 2 minutes.
    Gradually stir in chicken stock.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Stir in milk and cream; heat but do not boil.
    Serve with croutons and grated Monterey Jack cheese.
