White Mountain Cake Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. white Karo
2 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
Preparation

Boil sugar, Karo and water rapidly until 6 to 8 inch thread forms.
Beat 2 egg whites until stiff.
Pour hot syrup into beaten egg whites, beating constantly until icing stands in stiff peaks. Add vanilla.
