Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. mini marshmallows
Preparation
-
Cream sugar
and
shortening.
Add
eggs and beat.
Add next 6 ingredients
and
mix
well.
Pour
into
greased
and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread marshmallows over the top.
Increase oven temperature to 350\u00b0
and
return cake to oven for 10 minutes. Cool 1 hour.
Frost with chocolate frosting.
