English Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. LeSueur peas, drained
    1 head iceberg lettuce
    2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 jar Hellmann's mayonnaise
    Parmesan cheese
    red pepper
Preparation
    In a large bowl, layer the following.
    On the bottom, tear lettuce into bite sizes.
    Pour peas, then layer celery and 1/2 cup onion.
    Spread mayonnaise to cover like icing.
    Sprinkle with cheese and red pepper.
    Repeat the layers once more.
    Cover and refrigerate. Serves 10 to 12.
