Creole Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
4 c. pecan halves
Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients in heavy saucepan.
Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 225\u00b0 or about 20 minutes after boiling starts.
Add pecans and continue cooking to soft ball stage (236\u00b0).
Remove from heat.
Beat well.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper.
Dry until firm.
Store in airtight container.
