My Mom'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 egg shortening
lemon or vanilla extract
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. baking cocoa
3/4 c. sour milk
Preparation

Cream the first 4 ingredients together.
Sift all dry ingredients together.
Add sugar mixture and sour milk alternately to the flour and mix well.
Pour into two 8-inch greased and floured round pans or a 9 x 13 x 2-inch greased and floured pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes or until it tests done.
Let cool before removing from the pans onto wire rack to finish cooling.
