1994 Cannon County 4-H Blue Ribbon Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
    Cut or rub shortening into flour until particles are so fine as coarse crumbs.
    Add milk and stir in with a fork.
    Turn dough out on lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead just until smooth.
    Roll dough out about 1/2-inch and cut with a floured cutter.
    Place biscuits in a greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
