Peach Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding mix
    1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, divided
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    5 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
    1 (16 oz.) pound cake loaf, cut into 1-inch cubes
    bananas, fresh blueberries or other fresh fruit of choice may be added (optional)
Preparation
    Bring pudding mix and milk to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove and let cool.
    Fold in half of whipped topping.
    Sprinkle sugar over fruit; toss gently.
