Southern Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light or dark corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. chunk style peanut butter
    1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing until thoroughly blended. Pour into prepared pastry shell.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 15 minutes; reduce heat to moderate (350\u00b0).
    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes longer.
    Filling should appear slightly less set in center.
    Chill.
    Top with whipped cream.
