Sourdough Bread From Herman - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. Herman (room temperature)
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. milk
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    4 3/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine milk, 1 cup water and cooking oil; bring to a boil, then cool to lukewarm.
    Take 1/4 cup warm water and dissolve yeast in it; add sugar and salt and add this mixture to cooled milk mixture.
    Put flour in a large bowl; hollow out center and pour milk mixture in center of flour.
    Add Herman and stir; do not knead.
    Put dough in a greased pan or bowl; cover and let rise until double.
    Divide into 2 loaves.
    Roll into desired shape. Place in greased baking pans.
    Let rise, uncovered, in a warm place until double.
    Bake 15 minutes at 425\u00b0, then 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
