Shrimp Jambalaya - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced celery
    2 c. diced green pepper
    2 medium onions, sliced thin
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 lb. cooked ham, cubed
    2 lb. peeled, deveined shrimp
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 (1 lb. each) cans whole tomatoes
    3 c. hot, cooked rice
Preparation
    Cook celery, green peppers and onions in half the butter, until tender.
    Add garlic and ham; cook 5 minutes longer.
    Add remaining butter, shrimp, salt, hot pepper sauce, chili powder and sugar.
    Cook, tossing often until shrimp are pink.
    Add tomatoes and heat.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 8 servings.
