Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in eggs and vanilla.
Add combined dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Put on floured board and work in additional flour until dough can be rolled out easily.
Divide dough and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with cutter, place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Yields: 3 dozen.
