Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. crushed crackers
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
3 1/2 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. scalded milk
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Combine crackers and melted butter and press mixture around sides and bottom of 10-inch pie plate or 9-inch square pan to form crust.
Saute the onions in 1/2 cup butter.
Add scalded milk, eggs and salt.
Add the cheese last and mix thoroughly.
Pour into crust.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
