Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. soft butter
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine boiling water and oats; let stand 20 minutes.
    In separate bowl beat butter until creamy.
    Add sugars; beat until fluffy.
    Add vanilla, eggs and oats mixture; mix well.
    Sift together flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Add to creamed mixture and blend well.
    Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Do not remove from pan; while still warm, frost.
