Wassail Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. apple cider
    2 sticks cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. honey
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    1 tsp. orange rind
    1 tsp. lemon rind
    5 c. pineapple juice
    3 oranges
    whole cloves
Preparation
    Stud the 3 oranges with whole cloves, about 1/2 inch apart. Bake in a baking pan with a little water added, at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Heat cider and cinnamon sticks in large saucepan.
    Bring to boil and reduce heat.
    Simmer covered for 5 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients (nutmeg, honey, lemon juice, orange rind, lemon rind, and pineapple juice) and simmer uncovered for 5 more minutes.
    Remove cinnamon sticks that are left.
    Pour into large punch bowl and float spiced oranges (above) on top.
    Yields:
    40 punch cup servings.
