Pepper Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 ripe sweet peppers (red)
    12 green sweet peppers
    1 (or more) hot peppers
    12 small white onions
    3 Tbsp. salt
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Finely chop peppers and onions.
    Add 3 tablespoons salt.
    Pack in a bowl and cover with boiling water.
    Let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and add vinegar and sugar.
    Bring to a boil and boil until thick.
    Put in jars and seal.
