Elegant Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon, chopped and cooked
2 c. diced potatoes
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 c. finely chopped onions
1 c. finely chopped celery
2 (6 1/2 oz. each) cans minced clams (3/4 lb.)
1 qt. half and half cream
dash of pepper
Preparation

Prepare vegetables.
Place in a saucepan.
Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables.
Add enough water to barely cover and simmer, covered, over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
